Giving

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

- 2 Corinthians 9:7

Why we give.

Giving is an act of worship
Christians give as a response to God's generosity. Everything we have ultimately comes from the Lord, and giving is one way we participate in the work God is doing through the church.

At Christ the King, financial gifts support the worship, formation, and mission of the church as we seek to make Christ known in South Austin and beyond.

Simplicity

Simple and Faithful Stewardship
We seek to steward the resources God provides with simplicity, wisdom, and transparency. Financial gifts support the ordinary life of the church. Giving is never pressured or required.

Financial support is simply one way members and regular attenders of the church participate in the shared life and mission of Christ the King.

Our Funds

General Fund
All ministries, daily operations, personnel, and regular mission partners are supported through the General Fund. Your tithes and offerings allow CTK to carry out the ongoing work of ministry to form people in Jesus so that Christ's kingdom and glory are made known in South Austin and beyond.

Benevolence Fund
The Christian church has historically committed to caring for the real, tangible needs of people inside and outside the church community. Gifts to the Benevolence Fund enable our deacons to exercise Christian generosity to those who are in need.

Missions Fund
At various times throughout the year, CTK takes up special collections for mission trips and other direct projects related to our overall missions support. Undesignated gifts to the Missions Fund will go to our general missions budget for our regularly supported mission partners.

Building Fund
We currently service our mortgage and provide for building maintenance through the General Fund. All donations to the Building Fund will be utilized to accelerate the payoff of our current mortgage balance and/or set aside for future building updates at the discretion of our Deacons. If you wish to specify how you would like your donations directed, please add a note such as "Debt Retirement" or "Future Needs."

Special Note
While CTK will always take donor advised gifts into consideration, the Session and Deacons of CTK reserve the ultimate right and responsibility over all financial gifts to the church.

A note for guests

If You're Visiting
If you are visiting Christ the King, please do not feel any obligation to give. Your presence with us is a gift, and we are simply glad you are here!
