Life Together at Christ the King

Following Jesus was never meant to be lived alone.
At Christ the King, belonging means sharing life with others who are learning to follow Jesus together. Some people arrive with deep faith. Some people arrive with deep skepticism. Others arrive with questions, uncertainty, or hurt. Wherever you find yourself, there is a place for you here.
Christian community grows through relationships - through conversations, meals, prayer, and shared life. Our hope is that Christ the King becomes a place where people are known, cared for, and formed together over time.

A Community of Shared Life

While we gather each Sunday for worship, much of the life of the church happens in smaller settings where friendships and faith grows naturally.
We are developing home-based communities across the South Austin region where people can gather for conversation, hospitality, prayer, and encouragement. These gatherings are designed to be simple, relational, and open to anyone exploring faith.
You do not need to have everything (or anything!) figured out in order to belong. Many people begin by simply showing up, sharing life, and asking honest questions.

From Belonging to Commitment

As relationships grow, many people find themselves wanting to make a deeper commitment to the life of the church.
At Christ the King, membership is a covenant commitment to follow Christ together, care for one another, and participate in the mission of the church.
Membership is not a requirement for belonging, but it is a meaningful step for those who desire to plant roots in the life of the congregation.

Exploring Membership

For those interested in becoming members, we offer a simple pathway designed to help people explore faith and understand the life of the church.
1. Begin with the Gospel
We provide a short set of resources that introduce the heart of the Christian faith and the life of following Jesus.
2. Explore CTK
Several times each year we host Explore CTK, a conversational gathering where we discuss the mission, values, and vision of the church and what covenant membership means.
3. Meet with the Elders
Those who desire to pursue membership meet with the elders for conversation and prayer as we discern together whether Christ the King is the right church home.

A Place at the Table

Twice each year we host newcomer gatherings where those who are new to CTK can meet the pastor and others in the congregation in a relaxed setting.
Throughout the year, we welcome new members into the life of the church, celebrating God's work in bringing people together in faith.

Take Your Next Step
