Reflect
Our anger often feels like something that happens to us, but Proverbs reminds us that wisdom shapes how we respond. A peaceful heart isn't the absence of problems, it's the fruit of trusting God in the middle of them. Ask the Lord to make your heart more like His: slow to anger and full of peace.

Our words have the power either to calm a situation or make it worse. A gentle response isn't weakness; it's strength under God's control. Jesus often answered with truth and gentleness, even when He was opposed.

Lord Jesus, guard our tongues. Help us to speak words that bring peace instead of fueling conflict. Amen.

Reflect
Not every offense needs a response. Sometimes wisdom chooses to extend grace instead of demanding justice. Because God has overlooked our offenses in Christ, we can learn to overlook many offenses against us.
Discuss
Gracious Father, thank You for Your patience with us. Teach us to extend that same grace to others. Amen.

Holy Spirit, produce Your fruit in us. Teach us self-control, patience, and love so that our lives reflect the character of Jesus. Amen.
